That's right! Bioware announced today that the expected release date is 2021!

There's a reason we chose the year 2021. We want our players to experience a whole new generation of gaming. Even though the world is expected to end by 2012, we still want people to fantasize about playing the game. It's a technique that makes the mmo experience joyful and memorable. As long as we keep them guessing by releasing video documentaries and comic stuff, we never really have to release the actual game itself.
New Race Revealed!
The Ewok! Everyone loves those furry little creatures. They are one of the most iconic classes in the star wars universe. In fact, without the ewok, star wars would not be what it is today. When you start out as an ewok, your first role is getting familiar with your surroundings.
Ewoks live high among the trees of their home moon's forests, in villages built on platforms between the closely spaced trees. They are shown venturing to the forest floor to hunt and set traps to catch various prey. Ewoks are carnivorous, and as the events of the movie Return of the Jedi indicate, sentient prey was considered a viable food option. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca narrowly avoid becoming a feast for the Ewoks at their first encounter.
Therefore, Ewoks are well known to be cannibalistic. Only the fear of the wrath of God can prevent Ewoks from feasting on the flesh of other humanoids. An efficient and practical race, the Ewoks use the bones of their fallen prey as tools, and the skulls as ornamentation on their crude clothing. Although extremely skilled in forest survival and the construction of primitive technology such as wooden gliders and catapults, the Ewoks have not apparently progressed past stone age technology. They use spears and slings as weapons, and also use hang gliders, battle wagons, and bordoks as vehicles. They are shown to be quick learners when exposed to advanced technology with simple mechanical processes and concepts.
We want Ewoks to be able to discover new professions. Just because you are a furry little cuddly bear does not mean you could become a hardcore sith. Ewoks will be able to study the knowledge of the force and to become familiar with the jedi ways.
